On Saturday 19th September, The Mount Goles Battle run took place in memory of Cpl David Ambrose. Cpl Ambrose was a member of the 4 Inf Bn who died tragically last year following an accident. Six teams in all took part including members of the Swedish Contingent. The run was based on basic military skills and a team of between eight and ten individuals. The six teams were required to carry out a simulated medical evacuation and to resupply an area with ammunition over 3.5 km. Other basic military games that test the skills of soldiers were conducted during the race including Kims game and target identification and range estimations. The eventual winners were were 3 Pln C-Coy from the 40
Inf Gp.
